Vayan y den testimonio / Go and witness

La Biblia Nueva Traducción viviente no puede ser más clara. En Hechos 1: 8 Jesús les dice a sus discípulos «pero recibirán poder cuando el Espíritu Santo descienda sobre ustedes; y serán mis testigos, y le hablarán a la gente acerca de mí en todas partes: en Jerusalén, por toda Judea, en Samaria y hasta los lugares más lejanos de la tierra». 

En estos últimos meses, hemos estado trabajando en la producción de los materiales titulados «Participe». Este recurso, compuesto de tres cursos: evangelio, discipulado, y misión busca inspirar una jornada de oración, de compartir historias de fe, y de capacitar a tu congregación a vivir y compartir su fe con otras personas fuera de la iglesia. Los tres recursos sirven precisamente para que pienses en los lugares en donde vives fuera de las cuatro paredes del templo. ¿Cuál es tu Jerusalén? Estas son las personas más cercanas a ti, tu familia, amistades cercanas, tu iglesia. ¿Cuál es tu Judea? Quizás tu comunidad, tu lugar de trabajo, tu restaurante favorito en donde la gente te conoce por tu nombre. ¿Cuál es tu Samaria? Estos son los lugares en donde te encuentras con personas que no te son familiares, o con personas que son totalmente diferentes a ti. ¿En qué lugares puedes ser intencional en vivir tu fe y compartirla con otras personas? ¿Cómo puedes hacer esto? Este recurso ofrece ideas, espacios de diálogo y opciones para poner el programa de evangelismo de tu congregación en práctica. The Message can’t be any clearer. In Acts 1: 8 Jesus tells his disciples: “What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”

In recent months, we have been working on the production of a Spanish language version of the Engage curriculum. This resource consists of three courses: Gospel, Discipleship, and Mission and it seeks to inspire a time for prayer, sharing faith stories, and training your congregation to live and share their faith with others outside of the church building. The three resources work to invite the participants to think about the places where they live outside the four walls of the church. What is your Jerusalem? These are the closest people to you, your family, close friends, and your church. What is your Judea? Maybe it is your community, your workplace, your favorite restaurant where people know you by name. What is your Samaria? These are the places where you meet people you are not familiar with, or meet with people who are totally different from you. In what places can you be intentional about living your faith and sharing it with others? How can you do this? This resource offers ideas, spaces for dialogue and options to put the program of evangelism in your congregation to practice.
